This privacy policy applies to the ScreenFlix Cinema app (the "Application") for mobile devices created by ScreenFlix Cinema Developer (the "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application can store favorites, saved titles, quiz progress, achievements, onboarding status, and AI Chat consent locally on your device. The Application does not require a user account, subscription, or in-app purchase.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

ScreenFlix Cinema uses The Movie Database (TMDB) to load movie and TV search results, popular titles, title details, posters, and backdrops. Requests to TMDB are anonymous and are used only to provide movie and TV information in the Application.

AI Chat is optional and blocked until you explicitly agree in the Application. Before any AI Chat network request is made, the consent screen explains that the following data may be sent:

• the text of each user message;
• chat_id, created when the AI Chat session starts and used for conversation continuity;
• a fixed system_prompt about movies and TV shows, sent when the chat session is created.

This data is sent to OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app. The purpose is only to generate movie/TV chat responses and recommendations.

OpenRouter Chat proxy acts as a third-party processor or service provider for the AI Chat feature. The service is expected to protect submitted data under the same or equivalent confidentiality and security commitments described in this Privacy Policy. The AI chat service may retain conversation history server-side using chat_id so the conversation can continue across messages.

You can revoke AI Chat data sharing in Settings. Revocation resets the local chat session and blocks further AI Chat requests until you agree again.

The Service Provider may share information with trusted service providers only as described in this Privacy Policy. These providers work on behalf of the Service Provider, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and are expected to adhere to confidentiality and security commitments consistent with this Privacy Policy.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information as required by law, when necessary to protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application. You can also disable AI Chat data sharing in Settings without uninstalling the Application.

Local favorites, saved titles, quiz progress, achievements, onboarding status, and AI Chat consent remain on your device until you remove or reset them. AI Chat conversation continuity may be retained server-side by OpenRouter Chat proxy using chat_id. If you would like to request deletion of User Provided Data, contact the Service Provider at screenflixcinema@gmail.com.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and uses reasonable safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-05-25.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of information as described in this Privacy Policy. AI Chat data sharing requires separate explicit consent inside the Application.
